Cytomegalovirus (CMV) attacks human immune which caused by virus. The virus is part of the herpes virus family. The virus does not show direct symptoms from sufferers’ body. Sometimes, people with this disease cannot be known whether they are infected or not. Most of the times, people who get infected do not feel sick. They also are not aware of the infection.
The symptoms are differed from the type of the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. One of the types of the CMV infection is congenital CMV. This type of the CMV occurs in babies who happen while the mothers are pregnant and they suffer the disease. The baby can get the CMV infection because of the mother has been infected by the disease and it is reactive when they are pregnant.
The symptoms of Cytomegalovirus can be seen when the babies has been born. The physical appearances of the babies will show the symptoms. The babies usually have yellow skin and yellow eyes in white part. The condition is commonly known as jaundice. Then, the skin of the babies will show purplish small rash spots. Besides that, the babies also will have pneumonia. The size of the liver and spleen is too big but the weigh body is too small.
Those symptoms of Cytomegalovirus will give certain abnormal condition to the babies’ body. Most of the cases of this disease show that the babies have hearing loss. The bad condition of the visual sense which makes the babies blind and their visual sight is impairment. Then, the babies also suffer epilepsy. Besides that, when the babies grows old, they will have bad coordination of the body. They also will have difficulty in learning.
Because of the lack possibility of knowing the symptoms, the babies with this disease can be cured as soon as possible. Then, the risk of the abnormal condition can be eased little by little.
